What Is the Difference About CHM-1400 High Speed Sheeter And CHM-SGT 1400 Synchronize-fly Sheeter ?
Many customers ask us the same question:
What is the difference between CHM-1400 precision high speed sheeter and CHM-SGT1400 high precision synchronize-fly Sheeter?
Both machines are built for high-speed paper sheeting, stable operation, and precise cutting. The main difference is not the machine performance, but the type of paper they are designed to handle.
The first difference is paper grammage.
The CHM-1400 precision high speed sheeter is suitable for paper from 60gsm to 550gsm. It is commonly used for writing paper, copy paper, offset paper, coated paper, and other medium-weight paper products. This model is a popular choice for customers who need flexibility because one machine can handle a wide range of paper grades.
The CHM-SGT1400 high precision synchronize-fly Sheeter covers a heavier range from 200gsm to 1000gsm. It is mainly used for kraft paper, board, packaging paper, and other high grammage materials. For these applications, the paper is thicker and requires a stronger cutting structure.

The second difference is the cutting system.
The CHM-1400 uses a single knife cutting structure. It is optimized for stable and accurate sheet cutting on a wide range of paper materials. The cutting process is smooth, with consistent sheet length and excellent cutting quality.

The CHM-SGT1400 uses a twin rotary knife structure. During cutting, the rotary knives work together to provide stronger cutting capability, especially for thick paper and board. This design helps maintain stable production when processing heavier materials.

The production requirements are also different.
For customers producing mainly cultural paper, office paper, or mixed paper grades, the CHM-1400 provides a practical and efficient solution. It offers good flexibility and can adapt to different production orders.
For customers focusing on packaging paper, kraft paper, or heavy board products, the SGT1400 provides the additional cutting power needed for continuous production.

In terms of accuracy, both machines follow CHM Machinery’s manufacturing standards. High precision feeding, stable transmission, and reliable control systems ensure accurate sheet size and consistent production quality.
There is no simple answer of which machine is better. The right choice depends on the paper you produce every day.
At CHM Machinery, we help customers select the right sheeting technology based on their paper grades, production volume, and future plans.
