For A4 copy paper manufacturers, a ream needs to look just as good as the paper inside it. Uneven wrapping, poor sealing or inconsistent stacking can affect product appearance, increase manual work and create unnecessary delays at the end of the production line.

The CHM-A4B A4 Paper Packaging Production Line is designed to make this part of production simpler and more consistent.

Built for automatic A4 ream wrapping, the CHM-A4B brings several packaging steps together in one continuous process. From ream preparation and wrapper feeding to wrapping, stacking and final discharge, the machine handles the work automatically with less manual intervention.

The wrapper is fed and positioned by the machine, while the PLC control system coordinates each stage of the packaging process. This helps keep the wrapping process running smoothly and gives finished reams a neat, uniform appearance.

In a busy paper mill, this can make a real difference. Instead of relying heavily on manual folding and sealing, operators can spend less time on repetitive packaging work and focus on keeping the production line running.

The CHM-A4B is designed specifically around standard A4 ream packaging requirements. It supports coated or offset wrapping paper from 70 to 100 g/m², with a standard working width of 310 mm gross and 297 mm net. The packaging height is adjustable from 45 to 55 mm, with customized solutions available for different ream sizes.

The machine also accommodates wrapping rolls with diameters from 200 to 1000 mm, helping reduce the need for frequent roll changes during production.

When it comes to production speed, we prefer to look at what happens on the factory floor rather than only quoting a maximum number. The CHM-A4B has a design speed of up to 40 reams per minute, with a practical operating speed of around 35 reams per minute, depending on the material and production conditions.

This makes it a good match for high-volume A4 copy paper production and helps keep the packaging section in step with the sheeting line.

The machine is also designed with everyday operation in mind. Total installed power is approximately 18 kW, with compressed-air consumption of around 300 NL/min. Its mechanical structure is built for continuous operation, while routine maintenance and common spare-part replacement can be handled by trained in-house technicians.

For manufacturers building a new A4 paper production line, the CHM-A4B can be integrated into the overall production setup. For existing factories, it can also be used as an upgrade to improve packaging efficiency and reduce dependence on manual labour.

At the end of the day, good packaging is not only about making a ream look neat. It is about keeping the last stage of production moving without becoming a bottleneck.
