In production and life, the motor is an important equipment that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, and it is also a equipment often mentioned by many sheet metal equipment manufacturers. When most manufacturers promote sheet metal equipment, they often say that they use servo motors rather than three-phase asynchronous motors. What's the difference between these two motors?
Three-phase induction motor is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When three-phase symmetrical alternating current passes through the stator winding, a rotating magnetic field is generated between the stator and the rotor, thereby cutting the rotor winding and generating current and induced electromotive force in the rotor loop. Finally, the current passing through the rotor conductor creates a current and induced potential in the rotor loop under the action of a rotating magnetic field.
The servo motor is mainly to convert the control voltage, that is, the input signal voltage, into speed and torque to drive the target object to be controlled. The biggest feature is that when there is no signal voltage, there is no rotation phenomenon, and the speed decreases uniformly according to the increase of torque.
The three-phase asynchronous motor has good operation performance, simple structure, light weight and cheap price, but the speed is difficult, the starting current is large, the operation is easy to overload and the loss is large.
Compared with the three-phase asynchronous motor, the servo motor has high displacement accuracy, good positioning accuracy, wide speed regulation range and good system reliability. Most importantly, because it is equipped with an encoder, the servo motor can achieve more accurate closed-loop control, which is impossible to achieve three-phase asynchronous motors.
In contrast, the performance of the servo motor is better, but the price of the servo motor is many times the price of the ordinary asynchronous motor. The high price often makes most buyers shy away. It is recommended that customers choose the most suitable products in the selection of bending machine, shearing machine and other sheet metal equipment accessories.
